Miniature Paiting Exhibition - towards ambiguity by Ahsan Nadeem Shekih
photo

Introduction

Fascinated with basic geometry, whilst studying and practising the traditional and basic layout of a Miniature painting, Ahsan understood the amazing notion of how appearances can be deceptive. With this the artist brought fourth a series of paintings where objects of every day whether organic or inorganic, transformed from their original appearance and hence their understanding once their geometric construction was manifested. The transformation is divided into three stages where objects start to loose their appearances and values as understood normally to a more ambiguous form that offers meanings far more than the original. It also highlights the human inability to know and comprehend the vast reality that exists around and how frames or packets of information of the environment is received which are in fact a fragment of a vast, unlimited and homogenous whole subjecting humans to rely upon names, labels and hence norms.

Well, Miniature is a complex work of patience, but the way you pass the information about reality is really captivating...Just loved the map of national college of arts, a bit from "Heaven Above" vision! Good Luck
